Delifresh adapts to COVID-19: MaxOptra route optimisation helps support NHS workers

In the world of business, COVID-19 has been the survival of the fittest.

It's sink or swim - and Delifresh have adapted like a duck to water - during these uncertain times.

They have taken advantage of MaxOptra route optimisation to help support NHS workers and the wider community.

Challenges

While many of Delifresh's customers were forced to close their business, it also became apparent that fixed routes were no longer applicable and planning hours suddenly increased.

This meant that Delifresh were planning until midnight, and then having to load vans at 6am the next morning.

Despite receiving thousands of orders from new customers, Delifresh were having to limit the amount of orders they could fulfill due to this unmanageable workload.

 

Solution and Results

With the help of MaxOptra route optimisation, Delifresh can now plan 700 orders a minute and increase deliveries by 33%.

Thanks to the time savings, Delifresh can support the community during this difficult time; delivering food parcels to NHS workers at a variety of locations, such as Nightingale Hospital.
