Microsoft unlocks 2 New Security Tools: Azure Sentinel and Threat Experts
Mar 5, 2019
It has been promised for a while now that Microsoft will pay great attention to security when it comes to their solutions.
And now, the world-dominating tech giants have kept their promise, following the release of two new cloud-based tools that analyse security data.
Azure Sentinel and Threat Experts will help cyber defenders react faster and better manage security threats.
According to Microsoft, the new tools will reduce the level of 'noise', time consuming tasks, and false alarms.
What is Microsoft Azure Sentinel?
Azure Sentinel is a cloud-based security information and event management (SIEM) tool - the first of its kind - that allows you to respond to security alerts/threats across your network.
Microsoft claims that it uses artificial intelligence technology to sift through data to identify threats. The results are shown in an Azure-based dashboard.
What is Microsoft Threat Experts?
Microsoft Threat Experts is a 'threat-hunting service' that allows you to track down and prioritise threats using Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).
Ultimately, one thing is clear, Microsoft is taking security very seriously, which is great news for all of us!
