Communicate Better will provide an unmetered business broadband with connectivity to the internet which comes with e-mail as standard, but can be provided as a DSL-only product. The purchase of the router equipment is optional.
In addition to our standard business broadband services, we also provide a DSL-based access service for its IP telephony services – Assured IP Services. These services have been developed specifically to connect customers to our VoIP Telephony platforms enabling a consistently high quality voice service. The service is provided with a set of guarantees around the number of voice channels, latency, jitter and packet loss, service availability and fault repair times. The service is delivered over a dedicated and uncontended voice-only circuit, accessed by the customer via a Gamma provided and monitored Cisco router.
Communicate Better business broadband is available only where a BT Openreach PSTN line exists on a customer premises that is served by an ADSL enabled exchange. This line may be billed to the customer by BT Retail, or other service providers and operators including Communicate Better. Certain technical and geographical reasons may apply which may prohibit delivery of our business broadband packages. These include, but are not limited to, customer sites which are an unusually long distance from the local BT exchange, where there is poor quality copper wire connecting the location and the local BT exchange or, in the case of ADSL only, where the customer has conflicting PSTN services on their line.
For customers wanting to migrate their current business broadband service to Communicate Better, a MAC code will be required from their current Internet Service Provider (ISP). No Connection fee will be applicable in these instances but a migration fee of £20 will be charged. Customers can increase or decrease speed on transfer and also change the contention ratio on migrating to Communicate Better.
